The QUT Web Team both leads QUT's web development processes and brings the web development community together to share new knowledge of developing web technologies. The Web Team ensures QUT's web site provides information to the QUT community that is easily accessible, accurate, relevant and well-presented.
Working in partnership with the QUT web community, together, they ensure the needs of the web audience are met through the provision of consistent, high quality, relevant and accessible information.
The QUT Web Team provides:
Authoritative and specialist consultancy ensuring web communications align with QUT's strategic direction, processes and website development model
- Web Forums for QUT's web development community
- Web hosting support on QUT's Central Web Server
- Training to support the Web Governance Framework in the areas of:
- Writing for the Web and Accessibility
- Content editing tools
- QUT Corporate Identity
- Managing websites at QUT
The QUT Web Team is also responsible for:
- Developing tools for web site maintenance
- Researching new processes to simplify and improve web development practices
- Managing and maintaining QUT's home-site and internet search engine
- Providing and managing web policies and procedures
- Maintaining the QUT Web Manual www.webmanual.qut.edu.au
