ICT Skills Benchmark is for anyone who wants to certify their computer skills according to an Australian Industry standard by testing knowledge in eight core competiencies.

1. Login using your QUT - Access username and password at http://training.qut.edu.au.
   
   
2. Click ICT Skills Benchmark.
   
   
3. Select Office version from the drop-down list.
   
   
   
   
4. Click one of the following:
   • Pre-Tests (Optional)
   • Learning Activities
   • Post-Tests (Optional)
   • Results and Certification

Pre-Tests (Optional)

A pre-test assessment is an optional series of multiple choice quizzes that enables you to pre-test your basic knowledge for each of the eight competencies of the ICT Skills Benchmark.

1. Click Pre-Tests.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Click one of the competencies.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Start the test.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click Revise.
   
   
   
   
5. Work through the multiple choice questions.
   
   
   
   
6. Your final score will be displayed. You can choose to Redo the test or Exit.
   
   
   
   

Tip: Click the Main Menu link on the top of the page to navigate back to the ICT Skills Benchmark activities.

Learning Activities

The interactive learning activities can be run in three modes.

•  Show (relaxed demonstration)

•  Learn (interactive)

•  Revise (skill assessment)

1. Click Learning Activities.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Click on one of the activities.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Click on a topic.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Select any of the learning modes, i.e. Show, Learn, Revise or Print.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Next, Back and Exit buttons to navigate through the activity.

Post-Tests

The Post-tests are a combination of multiple choice quizzes and interactive competency tests and are optional. You must attempt all Post-Tests exercises and achieve 80% results for each of the eight competencies to qualify for ICT Skills Benchmark Certificate of Achievement.

1. Click Post-Tests.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Click one of the competencies.
   
   
   
   
3. Start the test.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click Test.
   
   
   
   
5. Work through the test.
   
   
6. You can choose to Redo the test or Exit.
   
   

Results and Certification

You can check your results for Pre-Tests and Post-Test and also apply for your Certificate online.

To check for Results:

1. Click Results and Certification.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Pre-Test Results or Post-Test Results.
   
   

To apply for Certification:

1. Click Results and Certification.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Certification.
