- Q. Why don't I have some of the software
listed in Base Software?
A. Check that your version of the SOE is the current version.
You may have an older version. If not, call the Help Desk to have this software
installed if needed.
- Q. How do I check
my SOE version?
A. If you have kept the original wallpaper, the version is
in the upper right hand corner of the image.
- Q. Do I have to use the QUT SOE?
A. The SOE is designed and created with input from all the
university divisions and faculties’ representative within the SOE Management
Team. It consists of software that is used by majority of QUT staff. It is
highly recommended that you use the QUT SOE.
- Q. Do I have to pay for any licensing?
A. No, all QUT SOE software is site licensed
- Q. Has the software been tested?
A. Yes, the SOE has been tested on all Standard Offer Arrangement
PC’s
- Q. How do I get
the SOE installed?
A. You must call your helpdesk and log a job.
- Q. How often is the QUT SOE updated?
A. The software is updated every 6 months, and released at
the 1st of June and 1st of December of each year.
- Q. Is it recommended that I update
to the latest SOE?
A. This will depend on you specifications of your PC. Your
PC must meet the minimum specifications of the latest SOE. There are some
advantages in upgrading to the latest SOE, these include; Compatibility with
other software, and common version being used within the university for support
