ITS assists the University in gaining maximum benefit from the investments
it makes in IT by providing standards and guidelines to the computing
that should be implemented and supported at QUT. These standards and guidelines
form the QUT Standard Operating Environment (SOE) which is described as
a set of recommended software packages available for installation on staff
computers and comprises the following components;
- Base Operating system plus a standard set of applications (computer
programs)
- Faculty/Divisional Elements
- Additional Applications
