QUT Dial-In

Modem image for QUT Dial-in ServiceQUT Dial-In service, allows you to connect to the Internet and also access the QUT network.

QUT Dial-In users can connect to the Internet using a modem which in turn provides access to QUT's network services. It provides connections at speeds up to 56K.

QUT Secure Access Service (SAS)

The Secure Access Service (SAS) provides a secure way for staff and students to connect to QUT's IT services using an external Internet Service Provider (e.g. Telstra, Optus etc.) or from other universities.

There is no cost for using this service except the charges to connect to the Internet (i.e. your Internet Service Provider charges).

QUT Global Roaming Service

Network port image, for QUT Global Roaming ServiceQUT Global Roaming Service lets you use your laptop computer to dial local Internet Points-of-Presence (POP) in the country you are visiting thereby allowing you to avoid expensive international calls.

It also allows you to take your mobile phone overseas when travelling. You can make calls from your mobile phone within the region you are travelling, to another Global Roamer from Australia as well as to people back in Australia.
