Click on the links below to configure your software to use your QUT Dial-in connection

Eudora 5.1

  1. Start Eudora 5.1.

  2. Select Tools -> Options...

  3. Select Getting Started under the Category section:

    • Enter your Real name. All your e-mail recipients will see this name on receiving an email message from you.

    • Enter your e-mail address (i.e. j.bloggs@qut.edu.au or j.bloggs@student.qut.edu.au) in the Return address field.

    • Enter mail.qut.edu.au in the Mail Server [Incoming] field.

    • Enter your QUT-Access username (i.e. jbloggs or n1234567) in the Login Name field.

    • Enter mail.qut.edu.au in the SMPT Server [Outgoing] field.

    • Tick the Allow authentication option.

  4. Select Checking Mail under the Category section:

    • Enter 30 in the minute[s] field.

    • Tick the Don't check without a network connection option.

    • Tick the Send on check option.

  5. Select Incoming Mail under the Category section:

    • Select IMAP for Server configuration.

    • Select the Full message except attachments over option and enter a suitable number (e.g. 40) in the K field.

    • Select Move it to and then select your Trash folder.

  6. Click the OK button to exit the Options window.

  7. Re-start Eudora.
