The HPC & Research Support group maintains an advanced Visualisation and Computing (VISAC) laboratory,
located on the top floor of the Library at Gardens Point (Room 720 V
Block). The laboratory houses HPC hardware including graphics workstations and PCs, 2D and 3D scanning devices.
You may also request for non-standard and/or dedicated configurations of laboratory
hardware and software facilities to be made available for one-off research projects,
and we will try as far as possible to accommodate your needs.
The HPC lab is also equipped with whiteboards and other presentation aids
suitable for laboratory-based small group instruction sessions. This includes our passive 3D Stereo projection system and a large curved projection screen.
