Researchers at QUT are able to access state and national facilities (see below) provided by the Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation (QCIF - previously known as QPSF) and the National Facility.

Applications for access to external facilities should be directed to the HPC and Research Support Group at QUT.

Note that access to the National Facility is available through:

  • A start-up grant of resources equivalent to 300 processor hours, or
  • A larger grant of resources awarded via the merit-based allocation scheme.

Applications for a start-up grant may be submitted at any time, whereas grant applications for the merit-based scheme are submitted annually.

HPC & Research Support staff are happy to assist you with applications for a start-up grant or the merit-based allocation scheme, and facilitate your research activities on QCIF and National Facility resources, as required.
