The High Performance Computing (HPC) and Research Support staff provide support to researchers in their use of HPC, visualisation, eResearch and data analysis tools.
The services of the HPC group are based around five primary areas, all designed to enhance research outcomes and productivity by:
- offering support to researchers requiring high speed computation provided by supercomputing class systems
- providing visualisation tools that allow scientific, engineering and other data sets to be transformed into 3D visual representations
- supporting QUT's research program from a statistics and data modelling perspective. The supported tools include SPSS and NVivo
- helping researchers with grant applications
- providing support for eResearch
