The QUT email service provides email access solutions for staff and students using multiple desktop computers (on and off campus), single desktop computers fixed to the QUT network and laptop computers connecting both to the QUT network and external ISPs. A web-based email option is available for staff and students to access their email via the internet from anywhere in the world. This service is available to all staff and students who have a QUT-Access username and password.
The email service is available 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week - 95% of the time (4% scheduled and 1% unscheduled downtime) unless otherwise specified. This service is underpinned by other services including the Authentication Service, a web server and the QUT Network which are subject to scheduled maintenance (every Wednesday between 10:00pm - 7:00am). Any disruption to these services can also affect the availability of the email service.
