About Client Systems Infrastructure

Client Systems Infrastructure's purpose is to assist QUT staff in providing business solutions to their clients through leadership and direction in IT solutions and frameworks for the personal IT environment.

Client Systems Infrastructure strive to achieve this goal by providing services which fall into five categories:

Procurement

To provide a streamlined and managed process for the procurement of the hardware and software required by the University, through the creation and maintenance of supplier agreements, software licensing and management of the exception handling process.

Deployment

To provide procedures and processes to enable delivery of a standard operating environment across a range of personal IT devices.

Management

To provide a managed product lifecycle through customization, upgrade and update of the standard operating environment, and ensure that timely advice is communicated to the IT community within the university.

Integration

To ensure that new or updated products integrate seamlessly into the standard operating environment.

Evolution

To continually update the standard operating environment through research and testing of emerging IT products, services and strategies.
